PGA Tour 2024 pt. 3

This week April 25-28 the PGA Tour played in a tournament called the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in Avondale, Louisiana. This tournament is played at a course called TPC Louisiana. The Zurich Classic is not a major tournament for the PGA Tour. The Zurich Classic is different than most PGA Tour tournaments. According to an article called "How does the Zurich Classic work? And what is player field for PGA Tour event?" written by Matthew Abbott who is a journalist. "It features a field of 160 split into 80 pairs as chosen by the players when committing to the tournament, so long as their partner has a tour card or sponsor exemption. On-course, the format alternates from fourballs to foursomes after each round, starting with the former and ending with the latter. Only the top 33 pairings through 36 holes make the cut, with both winners receiving two-year exemptions plus entry into the PGA Championship and signature events. PGA Tour 2024 pt. 2

April 21, 2024 This week the PGA Tour played in a tournament called the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The RBC Heritage tournament stands for the Royal Bank of Canada. They did not get to finish the tournament completely today but they will finish tomorrow. The RBC Heritage tournament is not a major tournament like The Masters but it is still a large tournament.  The RBC Heritage tournament is played at a course on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina called Harbor Town Links which is in a neighborhood called Sea Pines which has rentals for people who vacation there and houses for people who live there all year round. There is also an area with shops, restaurants, the lighthouse and different activities.  Hello, Welcome to my blog about the 2024 PGA Tour. I will talking about the tournaments that are happening for the PGA Tour. This week I will be featuring the famous Masters in Augusta, Georgia on April 11-14. I will also be talking about the golfers who are succeeding and some of the favorites. I am a sophomore at Heidelberg University and I am a part of the women's golf team. When I was growing up I always watched the PGA Tour and especially The Masters tournament. The favorite PGA Tour player when I was growing up was of course Tiger Woods. The favorite PGA Tour player as of right now is Scottie Scheffler. The Masters tournament is one of the four major tournaments for the PGA Tour. The Masters is always the first week of April and is always played at Augusta National Golf Club. When someone wins The Masters tournament they get the famous green jacket, a trophy the replica of the Augusta clubhouse, and money.
